As the club has a local henchman for Malifaux (that’d be me), there will be regular events occurring throughout the year. Demos of this awesome game will also run at regular intervals. If you would like more information about Malifaux or would like an intro game, either post in this forum or give me a shout on a club night (I’ll be there most Wednesdays). I’ve also arrange to get a couple of rulebooks for the club library, they should arrive in a week or so allowing you to peruse at your leisure.

The first event will be a 6 week long league starting on Wednesday 16th of May. I’m aiming to get the rules pack online over the bank holiday weekend (link will be posted here) but the basics are;

Each player starts with a pre-determined number of territories.
In each game you gamble a territory of your choice against one of your opponent’s territories.
Each territory has a special feature that you can activate once per game.
The winner takes control of the opponent’s gambled territory.
In the case of a draw, special rules apply.
The winner at the end is the one with control of the most territories.
Games will be fixed master, 35SS crews from a maximum pool of 50SS (declared at the start of the league) with a time limit.
You will need to play a minimum of 4 games to qualify for prizes. Due to the time limit, 2 games can be played on a normal club night.
Games can occur outside of club nights as long as the result are recorded. No more than 30% of games can be against the same opponent.

There will also be a painting competition at the end of the league, the results of which will be voted by the users on the Wyrd forum.

The cost to enter the league will be £5 (100% going to prizes) with prizes for 1st, 2nd and best painted. There may be additional prizes too depending on the number of entrants.

Cool. While writing the rules pack, I've noticed that the Wednesday is actually the 16th. Whoops! Rules pack is nearly done and should be online in the next day or so.

The prizes are covered in the rules pack that will be going online in the next half hour or so. Some additional prizes will depend on the number of entrants. I've tried to sort it so the prizes are stuff that people don't already have and can be used to augment current crews (except 1st prize which is a crew box).
